Some time ago my 2004 Honda Recon 250 push button starter stopped working.
It's been so long that I don't even remember when exactly as it had sat for awhile.
After I got the bike carb cleaned and running again a few months ago, the push button wouldn't work.
Well yesterday, I was looking at it and was able to crank the motor by 'jumping' a screw driver at the solenoid so I figure that's not the problem.
Then I separated the two halves that house the starter button yesterday and pulled it out to look it over. I looked clean so I pushed the button and could hear a faint click sound coming from the rear of the atv.
Sounds like it's from the general area of the solenoid but it is just one very faint click so hard to locate exactly.
Any suggestions of what the problem might be?
