Unfortunately you need to pull the front cover and inspect both clutches and the shifter mechanism. It is easy to do. Just be very, very careful putting the cover back on. You can break the case upon reassembly if the shafts are not lined up correctly .

I have the cover off and the shifter mechanism seems to be ok. The starting clutch is new and the clutch shaft will turn the wheels. I was wondering what puts the pressure on the clutch discs. None of the clutch disc is broke. It was a female that heard the pop and she is the one that rides it so maybe the clutches is wore out?

Could it be the oil pump?
I doubt it, I don't think the oil pump for the motor has anything to do with the auto tranny. you should look these models up online, or here, as I think there are a few threads that cover how the auto tranny works. your best bet ?, down load the service manual from here if its here ??. or get a hard copy, and read up on it. if the tranny part of your atv is bad ?, your pretty much dead in the water. for what it will cost to replace the tranny in that ?, you could buy a whole new used atv, or a down payment on a new atv. auto atvs are junk, as well as electric shift models.

just being curious , have you tried getting atv up off its wheels(all 4) and seeing if it turns the wheels at all, when in 4x4 and maybe motor off, , if you TURN a wheel by hand, do other tires turn at all?

I know tubed rear axle honda's are VERY prone to have rear axle splines tripped off when the left wheel seal fails and they get a LITTLE rusty
the front really doesn't pull a lot, , BUT when wheels are off the ground, it might show you some better signs at what is wrong here(listen well when turning wheels by hand)

ok then that at least means your drive train seems to be OK, and your back to a trans issue

do you have a service manual
if not, I would get one and dig into that
I don't have much experience with the trans in your model
so cannot help much more
but do know they are pressure sensitive, or so I am told
so weaker pressures can play heck on things in them
and NOT so sure many are easily repaired, , think they might be more along the lines of the once done, LOOK for a salvage yard with a working one or the likes and swap it pout

It's a DCT. Has gears, with the transmission being powered by oil pressure off of a valve body on the front cover.

Same as the one I built for the wife cause she had to have an automatic. Only 14 electrical plugs on the motor LOL:devil

I'm guessing something to do with the valve body. I assume it's not throwing any error codes or you would have mentioned that, right?

Oil pressure is diverted to the valve body on the front cover, which, as far as I can tell, actuates the clutches, driving the wheeler.

I know on my wife's when hers got low on oil it acted like clutches were slipping. When I topped it off it ran fine again. That was before I rebuilt it. No problems since.

Download the factory service manual here and look at page 14-49.

Might also keep an eye out for @Melatv as he seems to be the go to guy for EFI bike gremlins.

Unfortunately, to really troubleshoot the oil pressure/ valve body you have to have a really pricey set of oil pressure gauges and fittings.
