Hey I'm new guys I've got a 2005 Honda Rancher 400 and my four wheel drive light blinks four times and the electrical controls sometimes go out. I'm just wondering if anyone could help. Thanks

Welcome to the forum frosty. The 400AT can be a finicky beast in terms of electrical stuff. It's been known to do things like that just from a loose connection. To start off, I would recommend, one at a time, disconnect every electrical connection you can get to, apply some light dielectric grease, and reconnect. See if it still acts up after that.

The "something" could be the voltage regulator / rectifier. Do you have a multimeter?

I checked the rectifier it seems ok
