Honda Rancher F1 light flashing

I have 2007 TRX420FE Honda rancher and the F1 red light flashes 8 times and the motor is skipping! Does anyone have a solution to this problem? Thanks

look to see if the service manual is in the manual section ?, if it is ?, down load it, and give it a look over.
