Never gonna happen. Everything now is going bigger. If nothing else government intervention would make it impossible. Hell the new machines have stinking O2 sensors on them.

Wishful thinking, just like when I heard Jeep was bringing back the CJ, only to find that it wasn't the CJ, but Jeep was bringing back the Renegade name, which turned out to be an abortion of epic proportions.

I've been offered a rancher and a foreman by two different people for my 300 and told them both no. They said "it's worth more" and I said ok, show me where I can go buy another one in this condition from any store. "You can't, they haven't made them in almost 20 years". Ok then, it can't be worth more if something is officially priceless. :D LOL. Lemme know when that angle sensor fails and you need a tow. :D

I agree with this to a certain degree... With motor vehicles in the U.K. It seems most only stay reliable until the end of its warranty, usually 7 years.. 90% of people inknow who buy new cars always have issues around that 6 to 7 year mark, constant repairs one after another.. It seems manufacturers mottos of reliability have changed to, 'buy new, replace with new'!

If they do bring one back let's hope with modern technology that the power delivery is a little more crisp. I also hope they keep it looking similar. I'd personally prefer them to make a power horse, can't see it though.

Well I mean the Bronco is coming back so there's always a possibility. But yeah I agree even if for so reason they come out with another 300 it won't be twice the bike they are now.
That won't have any more in common with the 67-77 than a JK "Jeep" does with a CJ.

Everyone talks about comfort. My Jeeps weren't made to be comfortable. They were made to be a 4wd street legal tractor. They, like the old square broncos, ride like crap, aren't fun at highway speeds, and have little to no creature comforts.

New stuff is meant to cater to soccer moms and millennials who will never leave the pavement, but want to look "outdoorsy".

New stuff is a lot more comfortable, has a lot more power, and in the long term, a WHOLE HELL OF A LOT more to go wrong.

And new stuff is made to be difficult to work on. The engineers don't care whether something is easily serviceable, because they WANT it to be in their shop, and they sure don't want it to last forever, because then they lose business.

rancher 350's were a push rod engine, they are very reliable design, but much different then the 300.

I would love to see a mini fourtrax 300, selectable 4x4, SRA, with fuel injection. that would be one peppy little machine if they kept the weight down.

300's are great and all, but given the choice of any 4wd Honda ATV to ride all day long, the 300 would be right at the bottom of my list, edging out the 350 Foreman just barely. All the newer machines are so much nicer to actually use. The 350 Rancher was a huge upgrade in ergonomics and just pure ride comfort over the 300. It's a shame they get so much hate for no good reason. Just butthurt 300 owners that were so offended when Honda discontinued them.
The 300 was reliable, sure, 30 years ago. Try running one now every day next to a brand new machine and tell me how reliable it is. Honda could survive for the next 20 years just going rear diff rebuilds on the old 300's lol

The 300 I have now is my second. You may have heard me say that that I built this one the same as my last. Well I had my last one for a few years and put a few thousand kms on er for sure! Never had any rear diff issues I always hear about. The one I just built is running strong as well. I have yet to accumulate the kms but so far so good on the rear diff... I always wondered if it was because water was in there and they never changed it.....

Where did this rumour come from???
