I have a Honda 300 and I just cleaned the carburetor. After the cleaning it runs great for about 10 min. Then I notice a dark brown substance which smells like gas coming out of a hose that is attached to bottom of motor. It spits out oil or a dark gas smelling substance out of a hose coming out of crank case. It spits out more only when I'm giving it gas. It still runs great while spitting out this gas/oil mix. How do I fix this.

check your oil lever !!.sounds like it's over filled..and maybe even gas has drained down into your lower engine case..see what color your oil is...if its a milky color..then you got gas in it..and it's filled to much from this...if this is your case..drain your oil !

Check your airbox and make sure it doesn't have gas in it. Sounds like a possible stuck float.
i was thiking the same thing earlier..thats the only thing that lets gas get down in the lower part of the engine..nice work jk !

Thanks for all yor help. How do I keep the float from sticking. Replace it?
Give the carb a good cleaning, giving special attention to the float valve and seat. Make sure the float valve is sealing off the fuel inlet, properly, before reinstalling the carb.
