So my right front axle on my 2002 Foreman 450 is really loose. The wheel moves around very easy right where the axle connects to the wheel. Ball joints and control arms seem to be in good shape. Is there anything in particular that would cause this. Should I just go ahead and replace the axle?

Have you checked wheel bearings?

you might need a cv-shaft also as running them with bad bearings eats away the end of the shaft , call it the spindle part for say ------------ I been running Pivot Works now for a while , I think they are better than OEM , they will warranty them one time in the bearings lifetime ---- pull the seal off one side of the bearing and pack it full of good water resistant grease when you install the new bearing and it will last even longer
