Just replaced the stock Yuasa batteries in my 2007 Rincon and 420. Worked well for 11 years including Canadian winters and plowing, actually the 420 battery was still starting it all winter but I figured it deserved a treat. I do top up the charge every couple months with a maintainer.

I agree, im still running the stock battery on my 08 rancher in northern WI never been on a battery tender and the first 3 years were outside with cover, now stored in a cold garage. I been thinking about replacing it just because it has to be time.

Like you, I have realized great results with stock Honda batteries and attribute that to my battery tender/maintainer.

Yuasa batteries are best, BUT !!..not always will you get a good one from Honda, been there..done that !. best battery ( after market ) i had was a everstart AGM battery i purchased from wally world back after i restored my '89 trx350D foreman, never once did i put it on a charger !!, and it lasted for a good 10 years ( give or take ), 70 something bucks back then, fast forward to past year or so, bought a Honda battery for my magna, kept it on a charger ( trickle ) and low and behold, it would not crank my motorcycle !..sooo..you can get a lemon from Honda.
