I bought a used Honda 2005 Rubicon it was starting and dying and the gas looked low so i tried to put gas in it(first time trying to put gas) Im not sure if i had the thing in the right position but after i put gas it started making a weird noise for like 2 minutes even without the key inside. I tried to press everything trying to find the kill switch because it was getting real loud it finally stopped and revved down now it won't start or click and even the lights won't come on can anybody help.

We'll need a clearer explanation... was something electrical making noise? An electric motor noise? A sizzling wiring harness? A stuck starter solenoid? Explain where the sound was coming from and what did it sound like? Was the ignition switch turned off? Is the battery dead? Welcome to the forums!

Thanks it sounded like an electric motor noise sounds like it was trying to start but couldn't. I tried to turn it on after putting gas in and this issue started even when i took the keys out it was still making this noise. I tried to press every button to stop the noise i might have touched the kill switch.

It sounds like the starter solenoid stuck if the starter was running? Perhaps someone put a china knockoff solenoid (from ebay or amazon) on the bike? In that case you'll need to replace the solenoid with and OEM Honda part and recharge (or replace) the battery.

I am deleting your other threads... multiple threads on the same issue confuse folks and wastes time. Thanks for your understanding.

OK what do you mean you never put gas in it before??

you sure you put fuel in fuel tank and not oil /motor?

I know this should be a simple deal, fuel tank is a fuel tank, but if you never done it before, anything could be possible
so want to clear this up

HOW long have you had this ATV
HOW old was the fuel in the fuel tank before you added more to it?
as OLD fuel is BAD fuel and will cause running issue's

MY suggestion to you would be to get yourself an operators manual and learn what does what, so your NOT making larger problems for yourself by causing damage to things

as pressings starter button while motor is running, can do damage!
I would also maybe suggest having someone near you come by and HELP you get it running and maybe show you how some things work too
as it seems like you do NOT Know very much about this atv or atv's in general
and could again end up with larger more costly problems due to lack of knowledge here, and safety is also a concern too!

were all on this forum to help and get help
so don't be offended by this, its meant as advice and help!

Yes MRBB, I was thinking this fellow wheeler owner needed a jump start with his basic knowledge of atv's and engines in general. I sound like this when trying to describe problems with my computer! LOL. Hey I have a good idea......legitkidd if you know computers perhaps we can help each other out! Really, just hang in there and try to wrap you mind around the basics and most stuff will be understandable to you.
