You say it ran fine till it ran out of gas , that would make me think there was trash on the bottom of the tank and you sucked it into the carb , try draining the bottom of the bowl ------------ spray two seconds of starting fluid into the carb throat and see if it pops , if so there is spark and fuel is the most likely problem ----

Welcome to the forum.

Where are you located? Judging from "quad" and "petrol" I would guess not around here! LOL

Am I correct that you ran out of gas and now the engine will not turn over at all?

If it will not even pull over with the pull start (seized up) you have something going on inside the motor. If it just pulls over and doesn't start that's different.

Can you clarify what you mean by "It won't start"?

No no... It’s all of you that combine two words into one ‘Y’all’, say tomato in a funny way and sit in the wrong side of the truck!

I have noticed that when I travel anywhere out of The South, people will look at me and then say "Say something else!" For whatever reason, people like hearing Southerners talk.

You get Southern women out of The South and men fall all over themselves over the accent.

I don't think I sound too "hick" until I hear myself, for example, on an answering machine. Good Lord I sound like a grit.

And then you got those Cajun's down in LA where Fish lives......no idea what they're saying.

We definitely have a diverse group here! LOL
