On the carb of the honda there is a card heater. What is that for. Will that cause the 4-wheeler not to start?

If it was winter and nonfunctional I would guess hard to start.

It allows the carb to not frost up in the winter
My old Ford ranger carb would frost up unless it had a hose coming off the ex manifold
