my 450 is still giving me fits.. Ive done everything i can think of, compression is good, new plug 3 known good truck batteries and a jump box. The motor will turn over fine and run sometimes but 80% of the time it wont even attempt to turn over. i can pull the plug and it will turn over freely as soon as the plug is back in it does fine. I have a video of what it is doing put i cant find where to post it here. any help would be appreciated.

im no smelling any gas sometimes the thing will turn over no problem and run iv rebuilt the carb on it put 2 starters and several good batteries. It burns alil oil so i try to keep fresh oil in it. the guy i bought it from said he put a new timing chain and gears in it, so it may have jumped time. spark is good new plug and a cdi.. I talked to a old small motor mech. and he was tellin me maybe clean the carbon off the top of the piston?? i donno man im gettin ready to just trade the thing for a beer and call it a day.

How bad is it to check the timing on these??? im a old school chevy boy so im used to keepin the rust off my tools lol.
