Rancher 420 ES Oil Change
Thank You, I have tried to figure out every way possible - Including Removing the Bottom of the Crank Case and resoldering a new steel/aluminum plate..If it weren't a new bike would have tried it already. There seems to be no quick fix otherwise than replacing 1/2 of the engine. Honda agreed to pay for parts 300.00 but so far not labor. Labor should be approx. 7.5 hours....Dealership wants 1400.00....I've worked on many bikes through the years - Never came across such a poor design - Not possible to heliocoil or rethread - Nothing to work with...Tired of fighting with Honda and want to get back on the trails. Appreciate all the input - Anyone else has this model glad to explain the problem. There should be a recall. Canyon Honda did break the part in engine - I just stripped it (proof?) - Go figure...
