hi
i am a honda 420tm not charging and i was wondering could any one help with what i should be checking in it
Apart from knowing where the Regulator Rectifier is and where the stator is there is a lot wiring and and parts in it i have not got a clue what there theory of operation is and would like to know

start by down loading the service manual from the site here if we have it ?, and read the trouble shoot area. also, please post the full make, year, model of your atv !.

a few more detais, might come in handy. year, if the battery is new.

you might find a shop manual there^^ .. it does show wiring, and location of parts. a clymers manual has wiring in color. seem's Shade beat me to some of what i am saying.

How old is the battery? More than three years old? Suspect Bad battery
Less than a year old? Does the battery pass the load test?
I just bought a new battery and it held a charge but wouldn’t pass the load test. Exchanged it.
