Honda 420 reverse wiring issue

Evening

has anyone one ever had a Honda 420 with the reverse light stuck on . As soon as reverse gear is engaged the engine cuts out and starts as soon as neutral is engaged. There has been mice in at wiring loom at battery but repaired all those damaged wires . Anyone had this problem before thanks

Ok reverse light on in all gears — the light will come on if the sensor lead is grounded so follow that wire.
Now when you look at the sensor wires, can the neutral and reverse leads be switched?
When you wrote “starts as soon as neutral is engaged you mean the quad starts itself?
