I'd have the battery load tested. You can get this done at autozone or other parts place.. with dirty connections and the battery not charging properly and then leaving the heated grips on could have damaged the battery. And there's the possibility of just having a bad battery from the get go...

Have it checked and let us know what the findings are. Then go from there.. Tons of great folks on here that will be able to help...
