Hi

I am new to this forum... and new to owning a ATV.
We purchased a 2007 TRX500 and we love it !

Lately (and as the weather gets warmer) it seems to be running hot on the legs. Is this normal?

I am running it at lower speeds and use it to haul a trailer with supplies.

How is this machine cooled ? I can put up with warm legs ...but obviously want to avoid running into any issues in the future if I am over heating the quad.
Should I be worried ? Is there anything I can do to maintain the cooling system ?

thanks

they have fans on them, and oil coolers, when the oil temp gets high, the fan should kick on, and cool the oil. the oil temp sensor on the engine is what kicks the fan on when the temps get too hot. be sure to check the oil cooler fins to see if its clogged with mud !.
