Hi im new here, first post hoping you guys can help. Own a Honda 350 Trx, yesturday I replaced the solenoid and starter motor as the the bushes had gone and the solenoid was fried. I'd just been pull starting it for a few months. I finally got my ass in gear and replaced them. All was well started fine after that. After an hour or 2 of driving around the starter motor randomly engaged when the engine was still running. Turn the key off and it still carried on. I was in the middle of a field so had no tools to disconnect battery so just left it till the battery died. Now it only starts by pull start and I have to remove the main fuse for it to start. Any ideas?

Replaced parts with OEM parts? That’s the only way you can be assured Honda performance.

Sounds like you used a cheap Chinese solenoid and it stuck in the engaged position.

Get an OEM solenoid and put it on.
