Honda 2001 400ex trx

Hello there, I have a 2001 Honda 400ex trx it runs perfect in nutruel and idles good but as soon as I squeeze in the clutch handle and put the bike in first gear, my quad launch forward and shutdown, can anyone help and have anyone had this problem before.
