Never owned a fourtrax 300 before, it is a 1990 model I found in a barn. we completely rebuilt the motor and it runs good and sounds good, but, the motor is a little mechanically noisy like valves and cam chain or what ever. we have checked it twice to make sure all is adjusted correctly. The sounds are not loud, is this normal? can anyone tell me, and also does anyone know if the 1990 four trax 300 is suppose to have a cooling fan? Thank You

And that optional honda fan........ Is VERY hard To locate, and usually VERY expensive! I'll keep an eye out, if you want one.

All new bearings top and bottom, bored 30 with new piston, rings, new wrist pin with no slack, timing chain. New primary clutch complete. Runs great but just a little more noise than i'm use to. Like I said never heard a 300 run before, and it seems like your older motors do make a little more noise. What you think?
