Will this ball simply screw into my 2017 Rancher (that I pick up next week) or will I need to bolt it through?

That is what my memory is, that it's just a hole.

I think a 2" dia. ball is standard.

The hole is only 1/2".

Yes, it is 3/4". They put my hitch together slighly crooked. I need to loosen the screws to get the 3/4" shank to go in.
