Hi i have a 2001 honda 250 4 trx my neutral light come on so i cant start my bike but of you stick your hands down between the motor and frame you find a wire and if u push it the neutral light will come on im guessing thats the neutral wire. but if u go up a hill the bike will stall and if you go in some puddles it will stall any reason for that i did put a little lawn mower exhust on the back of it to keep the nosie down could that be the problem

If the wire is bolted to the frame then it it's a ground wire. Need to to tighten it. Otherwise inspect the wire and repair it.

My guess is the wire came off the neutral connector. Look in the manual link below to find where it should go.

Yes the lawnmower muffler could be creating too much back pressure. You been having this problem long time?

Whattaya doin there with a lawnmower muffler? Was the old one rotted? post a pic so we can see the setup.
