hey all- I mark. Im from southern illinois and i love to ride/race atvs. I currently own a 05 trx450r 99 trx400ex and an 87 trx250r (in progress). I race a little bit still usally just a few GNCCs and a few OXC races or ama D-17 cross country races.

Im working on an atv right now for a friends dad and im trying to find out the year with only a motor code to go off of. If anyone knows a way to find the year witha motor code please call me @ 618-267-5049

I don't know of any way to tell the year of the ATV by the engine number.

TE15 tells me that it's a Fourtrax 300 4X4, but that's about all I can tell you from the engine number.

If you can verify that it is a Fourtrax 300, like the first 4 digits of the engine code suggest, I might be able to help you narrow it down to either a '88-'91 or a '92-2000. 1988-2000 are the years that the Fourtrax 300 was made.

If it's a Fourtrax 300 and it has an exhaust that looks like this, it's an '88-'91.



If it's a Fourtrax 300 and it has an exhaust like the one below, it's a '92-2000.
