Hey I have a 1999 Honda fourtrax 300 2x4. Was running an driving fine, recently had the oil/temp light come on blink a few times then the it just idles down an cuts off. It will start an idle fine if I give it gas in gear or try to rev it in neutral it dies down an cuts off. Anybody ever have a similar issue?

Did you check the oil level after this happened? Any chance it actually overheated?

all i can say is, i checked the oil on the 2000. then went down to my friends brothers house. it wasnt far, on the way back i discovered the dip stick was not there. maybe it was the oil spray on my jeans. it was a quart low. it still ran though. check the oil level. then go from there.
odnt run it till you do. [spell check cant pick up odnt] dont. when i misspell, you would not believe the words i get anymore..
