Broke the weld to the receiver where it attaches to the rear axle cover. Can it just be rewelded or will I need to replace whole rear end?

Year?, model trx500fa?, and a picture of what is broken. Provide a little more information and you'll get more advice on what to do. Start with a parts dealer web site to identify the broken part, like Partzilla.

If a weld broke, then it can be cleaned up and welded back, most likely. As stated, photos would help to determine if it can be repaired. How'd it happen?
