I got a used unit

Like many people I bought it and it wasn't shifting...

Change angle sensor and shift motor.

It start shifting even in AT and ESP.
At first I was able to reverse correctly

Soon after, when I try to reverse I still got the damn 5 blink and not shifting. Turn the key off and start the Atv and I'm able to get it going correctly in forward but I soon I try to back up it get to safe mode

I have to change the starter and I have order it on eBay. But it should'nt be related

Any ideas???

Hey Labine, welcome to the forum but sorry for the reason that brought you here like so many others. My first 2 basic items of advice on this one are

1)to download or buy a full factory service manual. There are diagnostic procedures in it.

2) one at a time, take apart, clean, and re-connect every single electrical connector on the bike. Use di-electric grease upon reassembly.

Thank's for the quick reply

I got the Manual in PDF

I'll Check the connections probably next week because i have order a starter on ebay .... so i'm gonna have the part out a few parts

quick questions

#1. I have order my Angle Sensor form China ... do you think it could be a bad one ?

#2 how many connections is related the shifting ?

i rode this morning for about half an hour. Great ride, not the best suspention but great transmission.

the only time it fault is when i try to back up (all the time) or when i am on a complete stop and i hear the shift motor buzzing then sometimes it goes on the safe mode. But when it shift for the start it never fault and i like the ride ....

I have the fix this before really enjoy the machine and can go for a few hours .. i'm scared to get stuck ...

1) for these items use OEM and OEM only

2) I don't know the number, but for an off road vehicle it's way too many
