if you have any info or can help me out in anyway pleaseeeeeee do. i am looking for and atv technician school and wanted to know if anyone knows of a good one orid anyone knows where some are located. ive always liked working on motors its something i love and i am really looking to make a career out of this and would like to be a tech for for a motocross team. if you know of any schools, places of training, ways to volunteer, or just a few pointers to get my foot in the door. once again if you can help me out please do. thanks guys

Have you tried looking into wyotech or motorcycle institute. Don't know anything about them myself other than their info-mercials.

my son went to an auto tech school affiliated with MMI and a buddy of his went to Wyotech. And Wyotech is a way better school IMO.I know MMI is in Flordia and the nearest Wyotech to me is in Pittsburg Pa.

I believe there is a wyotech in north carolina, I know they have a nascar campus in charlotte, don't know if they have a motorcycle/atv school.

yea i currently go to uti nascar tech bud im just not happy i wanna work on atvs. the uti mmi is in az an fl im not sure about wyotech. has anyone heard about psi powersport institute its a branch campus of otc ohio tech college which is suppose to be a good automotive school and they seem to have a nice powersports course but havnt heard anyone say anything about it but ill look into whyotech too>>>if you interested u can check out psi at "psi-now.com" but thanks for the replys so far guys

The bad thing about the Nascar tec and Whyotech is if someone wanted to attend a actual college in automotive they will have to start over, Nascar and Whyotech wont transfer over to colleges.

Penn Foster has online courses, that with a local shop willing to have you on as an aprentice is a great start. You need to start being a mechanic for some small privateers on the MX circuit. I can tell you now from my own racing experience, I want a pit crew that has been in the game for a while. Not someone fresh out of the box. I have heard from mechanics in the desert racing scene that MMI and Wyotech are a joke as far as being the way to get into the game. But that is just hear-say

I had wanted to do that as well, work on dirt bike, atv, crotch rocket engines etc... but the problem I had is the career field just doesn't pay, or at least not here in Northern Va. Maybe it would down South or out West. Just saying, I had been looking at UTI in Orlando and Wyotech seemed to have a good program.
