Can't decide between a 400ex or a Yamaha yfz 450. I've grown up with Yamaha all my life, never really let me down. But from what I've heard, getting a 400ex as your first trail quad is a good idea. I've worked on a yamaha timberwolf, still ride it, just wanting to upgrade to something faster. So what do you guys think? Stick to the brand I'm familiar with, or go to a 400ex? Thank you in advance for any advice!

The yfz 450 will be faster but not as reliable as the 400ex. Again I'd advise a trx700xx. Plenty of power and with the rear IRS, it's a plush ride. And tons of ground clearance if needed in deep ruts or climbing over trees. Although finding a good clean 700xx wont be easy or cheap.
