hey please help or give me a link to explain or video how to adjust my chain on my 2000 honda 400 ex i don't have any special tools for this job do i need some? reason i'm asking this is because, when i'm riding i heard my chain hitting my skid plate. please if you know how to do this please let me know. i have look at my back alxe and it just has some holes in the chain adjuster for a special tool i'm guessing it's a spanner wrench...or can you do this without this tool...thx

Just loosen up the bolts on the back of the swingarm. Those holes/notches that are next to the sprocket, just stick a large allan wrench or screw driver in there and rotate it back.

Yes, and don't forget to tighten the bolts back up.

Don't get crazy tighting the pinch bolts or you will break them be sure to tighten them even.
