I was using my 2006 Honda 400ex the other day and it was running really good, I let my friend use it and he stalled. When i got back on it, it would let go of the clutch alot just so it could start going, I almost had to let go all the lever, it would run on 1st gear and I would be able to shift, but it still feels like i am on 1st gear, I could probably shift all the way but it would still be on 1st gear. Thanks for your time, it is equipped with 440 big bore, fmf, stage 2 cdi box.

Are all Honda clutch adjustment the same? If so then the clutch adjustment is pretty easy. All you need is a 14mm and a flathead. I find it easier to remove the gas tank to do the adjustment, gives you more room to work. Anyway you'll find the bolt to the front of your engine and to the right. Lossen the adjustment bolt then put you flathead in the screw and turn it in all the way and then out 1/4 a turn. From there hold the flathead in place and tighten the adjustment bolt back down. BE SURE THE FLATHEAD DOESN'T TURN! Then you're done.

Sure hope it's same to my 2004 recon otherwise disregard everything I said lol
