so I have a 2008 foreman 500 and it idled but would die when you hit the throttle. I changed the gas, cleaned the carb, adjusted valves, even made sure the exhaust was clear bc it had sat awhile. Put it back together and its doing the same thing. Ive used my torch to check for intake leaks as well and no change in idle. Any ideas or something i missed would be appreciated!

Did you blow the passages clean in the carb, sounds like you missed something.

have you tried a carb rebuild kit< some times that varnish that gets on parts from sitting a while, LOOK clean but they ain't?
doesn't take much for things to be out of spec there to run right!
did you clean the fuel line, pea cock?
as if there all dirty from siting just as carb was, once you start running again, your passing possibly more crap back into things??

did you replace the spark plug???
is the CDI connection good and clean and solid??

If this carb has an emulsion tube above the main jet, did you remove it and clean the many tiny holes?
