I just bought this, shifter worked fine when I loaded it in the truck. Needed side cover repair, I believe it was in first gear when I removed the side cover. After the repairs were made, I clicked the reverse lever a couple times getting the cover back on, now the seems to be in first and reverse. Is this possible? The 5 speed shifter only moves up and down slightly with no clicking sound, the reverse shifter moves up 2 clicks and down 2 clicks but the quad will not freewheel even with the clutch pulled in or even when the clutch and reverse clutch are pulled in. I did not drive it at all in this condition so I'm sure nothings broke, just a couple things happened at once that shouldnt have and now I cant get them undone. I did not force anything at all during the repair. Any one have any ideas? I sure would appreciate any help at all, thanks

The left side cover, had a little chain damage. Already replaced the bearing carrier so the chain should now stay put.

Mine is also a 1991............only it dont quite look like yours, maybe someday. Picked it up for $650, all stock
