What's the top speed of a 1989 Honda 300wd fourtrax
this would honestly all depend on many things
tire size, weight of rider on it, how well the motor runs
but any how
not much these atv;'s are geared low and not made for speed
in all stock trim and like brand new, I imagine if you wanted to scream it to death to get to a MAX speed I would say maybe about 38 mph?? if all the stars align and that would be begging for mercy and about to let loose some parts of held there long!

Ya Wilson, my last 355bbk Honda would hit 60mph. My current 355bbk I am hitting 55+ mph. I agree that sooo many factors will play a part in this equation. Plain & simple. Elevation & tuning, tire size & weight, riders weight, gearing, exhuast, & the list goes on.

However there will usually be an average... IF memory serves me correct a stock 300 will run around 46mph...

Yours is an 89 & has a different cam than other years I believe. A little more bottm end... so you should be in the 40-45mph range.
