I have and 86 honda 200sx with engine trouble. I had replaced the cdi as the old one was bad. Now it fires like every other time and only while you are tring to start it. If you give it any throttle it stops fireing???

Welcome to the forums. Make sure you have a good spark plug. I'm not sure, but the way you're describing it, it sounds like your carb needs to be cleaned. Has the ATV been sitting any length of time?

Spark plug is new and carb has been cleaned and yes it has been sitting for awhile i drained the gas and put new gas still jus pop pop pop

Did you clean out the gas tank and clean the jets out? Sometimes just draining the tank wont get every thing out.Welcome to the forums
