Welcome to the forum, lots of good help on here and lots of good looking 400ex's. I did the same thing about 5 years ago, sold my dirt bike for an ATV.

welcome to the site, and good luck with what ever ATV you end up with
tip from em is, when turning keep your feet on the pegs LOL
long time MX guy here and I found when going to ATV's at first I wanted to stick my leg out as on a bike in turns , (was much worse on 3 wheelers back in my day LOL)

Ran my foot over a few too many times(slow learner I guess)

Yeah I think its a dirt bike only thing,
when I first got into sport bikes, Late 80's (Interceptor 750) I also found myself wanting to do that at first till I got the hang of how these bikes work, and amazing how they can allow you to lean in a corner at speed too!

I also noticed, it was a harder habit to break at first(going from MX tro ATV's)
and then going back and forth between MX bikes ansd ATV's

I think, it was harder to get BACK into sticking my leg out on MX bikes, than learning NOT to on ATV's

guess thats also in part of getting older and lazier HAHA!
ATv's kinda spoil you, as about anyone can ride one with almost zero skill level and stay up right!
(sorry folks) MX Bikes take more skills to ride them! IMO

Sport atv's can be fun, but never got too involved with them, like the 4x4's, can do more without needing speed to do so! again, I guess an aging thing!
best of luck again, and be sure to post some pic's of what you get!

Great to see another semi local guy, where do you go ride your machine?

I drive a couple hrs north from where I live to ride.

OFATV has absorbed a lot of trails in the south, and they want you to pay $175 to ride on their designated trails..

I enjoy riding in southern end of Northern Ontario...lol If you get that.

Novar, Sprucedale, Orrville.... Places like that, aint' nobody gunna bug ya really...

OFATV has absorbed the sequin trail now, so you have to pay to use it, but I don't... They best take a grader down that bastard if they want you to pay... Its all washboard from the snowmobiles using it..

I'm up in Keswick and work in Markham, also have a 400EX!

Well I just picked up my quad in October and it's my first machine, so I haven't been to that many places yet.

Last fall me and a buddy went to Ganaraska Forest in Port Hope a few times (which I HIGHLY recommend), but I've done most of my riding on the lake and river in Keswick over the winter.

Haven't done any riding this season yet because my bike is in pieces in my garage getting re-painted.

I plan to go up to Barrie as soon as it's back together and hit up a motocross track.

Got a taste for jumps over the winter and now I'm itching to catch some air haha.

I'm pretty close to Barrie. There is a few spots you can ride up here, but again... Its always busy on weekends... And for the most part, its all on private land where the land owners are not around, or its investment land etc...

I prefer to GTFO of here, and go straight to bug land.

No one likes the bugs, so no one is around.

I mostly ride Northumberland forest out in cobourg, about 20 mins from the Ganny, Ganny is fun but way too many people riding like idiots lol. gotta be careful there not to catch someone around a corner. Northumberland forest is far less used

Yeah I've had a few close calls with some dirt bikers, and few ladies on horseback at Ganny haha.

It's never been what I would call "Busy", but I only rode in October and November, and I'm sure the summer is much busier.

Is the N.H forest open to the public?

***EDIT: Never mind, just looked it up and found out. Looks like i'll have to check that place out too!
