Hello,
just found the site.. looks to a great source of info for wheeling! I have been around honda's since my dad's brand new 1986 250r atc. my current machine is a 1987 honda 250x. love the bike.. its had some work done to it. I'm thinking of doing it up for a mix of trail and track..

thanks guys,

trx2five0, my machine has been bored .02 over and fitted with a 12.5:1 piston.. it runs good. I think i will pipe it and maybe some suspension work... do you know if trx 250r a-arms and swing arm bolt on? I also wanna cut down my plastics.. any tips on that?

Welcome to the forums Jason.I also ride a 250x.I don't know about the 250r stuff but 400ex and 450r a arms bolt on.You can also use longer shocks like z400 or 400ex even 450r.But then you'll need a shock conversion kit.A 350x swingarm will bolt in with a couple washers on the swing arm pivot.Also you could just switch to a raptor 660 rear shock and keep the stock swing arm.The 350x swing arm adds 1.75 inches to your length to chain adjustment will be neccesary.If your gonna pipe it get a hmf slip on.Or if you have the money for the whole system get the 300ex.They have the same frame and will bolt up.Good luck.

p.s.Checkout my 250x.I went with a a-arm widening kit and z400 shocks.
