Thanks for the add! I'm looking for advice on replacing the cam on a 07 500 rubicon that belongs to my dad. Usually my brothers do all the ATV maintenance but have moved away, and left it dismantled. Any and all advice with be appreciated!

I would get a copy of the service manual and read it thru the section on the area you will be working on a couple of times and ask some questions about things you don't feel comfortable with before diving into it , take pics along the way to help you remember where everything goes , use baggies to separate bolt to keep them organized

If I were pulling the cam on an engine , it would include redoing the head , cam chain , sprocket maybe , jug work or replace , piston , and being the cam needs replacing ( depending on for what reason ??? ) I would look close at the oil pump

I went a head and got the service manual and read through it a few times! Thank you for the advice, I'll definitely try to keep everything as organized as I can. The cam has already been pulled, my brother just left the atv in pieces. I don't remember what the problem was with it, but is has been sitting dismantled for almost a year. My dad got all the parts together so hopefully I will be able to get it all back together for him, he is a disabled Army Vet and can't do a lot of physical work like he used too. I'll definitely be asking more questions as I move forward with reassembling it.
