Keep in mind that your stock stem is setup to hold bars that are 7/8" not fat bars which are 1 1/8". You can by adapters to make the big ones work.

thanks, was looking at the pro taper se bars since they are 7/8th thick so i dont have to get a new twist throttle, but worried the cross bar with the bar pad will get in the way of the ingnition... i know its not an issue on the raptors but not sure about the 400 and what bend would be closest to the stock bend mid or high??

Even the bars that are 1 1/8" are the same at the ends. It is only the middle part where they clamp that is fatter.

Yep, go for the ProTaper Contours, If you are over 6' tall I recommend the woods hi, if not the mid is fine.

My friend rolled his back toward the tank so you just stick the key straight in the cross bar holds it in place too

I've always wondered why everybody replaces the bars...they break or something? Why doesn't the factory put something on that will be stronger?

kawasaki uses Renthol bars. Handle bars are designed to bend. If you flip the quad and you have rigid bars that will not give, the next thing in line bends. The problem with aftermarket bars is that very few of them will bend. So if you flip your quad and it lands on the grip, your steering stem is probably going to bend.

No, the only pair I have ever broke was when I looped my CR500 at a about 80 mph. It kept going and then finally cart wheeled for another 100 yards. My bars snapped in half, that is the only time I have seen that.

Ahhhhh....can they be bent back?
Handlebars or steering stem? I've straightened steering stems, but handlebars won't hardly bend back without kinking.
