I would say you have a problem with your wiring, has the bike gotten wet and put away in the cold? Ice in the connectons can cause havoc...

I agree. I would check out the connection on the motor side. Make sure the connections are nice & clean.

Up here I know personally that running for a few hrs in the snow and parking it, switches didn't work any more and that was the 4x4 switch, when we go out riding up north and it drops to -40C water expands to its largest forms. And yea I had snow, water and ice problems with a new bike last year

Bring the bike inside and warm it up
