Congrats to Goober for winning this month!

Goober

1986 TRX350A Fourtrax was built in Sep 85 and purchased in CA. First owner rolled it shortly afterward and never drove it again. Took nine months to get it titled b/c of back fees!!
Fixed stuck valve, acid-cleaned rust clogged fuel tank, replaced leaky fuel pump, rebuilt the fuel petcock and carb. Searched five years to acquire OEM parts and optional accessories: replaced both fenders, added 3M conspicuity stripes, hour meter, the Holy Grail speedo kit, headlight riser, front basket/carrier, rear cooler carrier with optional toolbox trapdoor, mud flap kit adding Yosemite Sam flaps, exhaust turndown, driving light lens and headlight guards, and hondaline front bumper. Future work includes adding a 12V hookup for work lights, comm and navi.
I have all the original parts including tires.

Welcome back Jay! I found that bumper--it's in the pic--you don't want to know what it took to get that. I saw a NOS two years ago listed for $250; I shoulda bought it!!

Here's a pic of it I took it for a little ride in a swampy area. Still no mud on er!

Thanks for all the great comments on the Chili Pepper--you guys helped contribute to my obsession.
I grabbed a couple of shots of what I started with. A light rollover. The plastics weren't awful bad but there was a lot of cosmetic damage to the supports, bars, lights, bumpers. Stuck exhaust valve and the front clanked a bit from no fluid--everything with fuel in it had to be rebuilt or replaced.
Well stored--I gotta give props to the PO.
AND to the local Honda shop techs who got her running without running up the bill!!!
A picture from the shop desk about bringing in older machines:grin

Thanks again for the votes I used my gift certificate to spring for a very special accessory--a NOS Fourtrax bodycover. Sweet.
