OK well I just recieved my new (used) head from the ups man :partsin01:. This time I will not be the cheap scate I was last time. this head will have everything new! I will do like I did before take a few before pics, but this time I will take more progress shots leading up to the final results. I have to do it right this time I don't have any more spare parts...LOL

don;t cut any cornors, do it right the first time and have more time to ride and not repair the mess ups!!! good luck dude.

well just to be safe ill bring a tow rope. when its not being used to tow me from the mud, i can use it to tow you if your head F's up..:tongue:

Hey I appreciate that...lol... I doubt that I will have it done for the may ride. maybe the june meet I will?

Great moose.I can't wait.I'm gonna refurbish that bike I just bought and sell it for good money then have my motor built proffesionaly.

Thanks fellas I'm going to start today. I priced out my parts last night all Kibblewhite spring kit, and valves. about 270.00 not too bad. Time to break out the drimmell and diegrinders..lol

You can actually see the casting inside the intake opening..that will be alot less noticeable when I'm done.

Well I made some lunch time progress

I started on the intake opening I removed the tail of the casting for a more direct flow

what are you planning to ride in may?

I will be riding my quad...this is another head I have. I will only be down long enough the swap out the heads.

Oh yeah KB Motorsports has what I need new springs, and valves. I'm sticking with the oem size, I feel with my riding style I don't need to put any un needed stress with oversized valves.

Well I made a little more progress today I got the intake cut out how I want it, now I just need to smoot out the rough edges, I got the exhaust valve ports cut also, well one is like i want it the other is almost done. here are a couple of pics

I've learned to use the lighting while I'm grinding and sanding away the metal if you look in the pic above of the intake ports you will see the light pattern is nearly identical on the longer reflection. that tells me that the runners are basically going to flow the smae route IMO?
Thanks for the votes of confidence. I'm still debating on +1 valves but I don't race so I really don't feel like I need them. any opinions???

If it's gonna be a performance quad build I'd do the +1 valves.If I get the money I want for my bike I'm gonna do them.Looking great by the way.
