When I change down a gear when stationary it doesn't always engage, I have to rock the ATV and then I hear it engage.
It engages and disengages gears without any issues when in motion, any ideas why this could be? Hoping for a simple fix or a 'don't worry it's normal' kind of answer lol.

It's normal. Mine has been that way since new. It's a manual selection transmission; not unlike a car or truck, the gears aren't always lined up to complete a shift when not in motion.

Okay, thanks guys. Mine has been like it since I've owned it too, I just wondered if it was something worn that wanted replacing really.

normal. you can't shift gears without the atv moving one way or another while motor is off ?. must rock it.
