I changed all the gear oil last Aug: 2009 quad has the most 25 hours running time will I need to change the gear oil for the new year 2010 ?
I am changing the oil and filter now and a new spark plug wonder if I need to change the gear oil?

The maintenance schedule says every two years for the gear oil. If you ride in mud or water, it should be changed more often, though. It's easy to change and it don't cost much so it wouldn't hurt to change it pretty often. Those differentials are expensive to repair if something happens to them.

thank you for the reply ,I will drop some and see how the color looks if any signs of water I will drop it and change it.
I think you can use regular rear end oil castrol 80-90 W correct:I most of the time use honda gear oil but I just did a order on the internet and the gear oil was back ordered.
