If you're referring to the 87 350 FourTrax, that model didn't come equipped with a gas gauge. The 350d foreman models did. I just recently installed the gas gauge on mine. You will need to find a gas tank with a fuel sending unit and the fuel level display that goes on the front right fender for this. If you look at my recent posts I have pictures of mine.

I use a speedo and check the tank after a long trail segment. I might have been getting 20 mpg but running awful rich--carb needs adjustment.
Darn sure this model has the smallest tank of any honda 4x4--gas gauge would be a great option if you could get it wired up.
Relative ease about a 3 on scale of 1-10--with oil change 1, carb rebuild 2; valve set 4; cam chain 5.
