Hi anyone! I've posted about this several times. I've developed a short SOMEWHERE - been tracing wires. At any rate, here's a picture of the fuse block. The fuse to the far right (25A) blows immediately when I put one in. No documentation (book, etc.). What does this fuse control? I have no neutral/temp light - other lights work. It was fine before it just wouldn't start with the electric starter it would just "click"; it would put start fine. Then, the fuse blew. I installed a new solenoid and even put the old one in just to check. The fuse blows immediately (with the key on or off and even removed. There is constant current running through that circuit but the battery doesn't seem to drain.

for one, that starter solenoid is NOT a oem starter solenoid !!!, its a china knock-off. buy the correct starter solenoid, put the 30amp fuse back in the fuse block, and from all those wires is see, you got a mess of wires.

Yeah, it's a cheap solenoid. However, the problem started before the solenoid replacement. I'd like to get BACK to that point! LOL - spending a fortune on fuses. The fuse that is blowing continually/instantly is that 25A in the far right position. There's a 30A on the solenoid itself which doesn't blow. I've stuck a 30A in the empty slot that keeps blowing the 25A - just in case - it still blew.

And, you're right...I've got a REAL mess. I've got wires that have been snipped off and go no where - ones that start out one color and magically change in the middle to different colors/different gauges, etc.! If I knew enough - I'd start over...ripping out all them and running new. I have now I idea of how this was cannibalized. e.g. the fan motor (which still works - but works continually with the bike shut down and that 25A fuse blown) has been rigged so the switch is bypassed. You wouldn't believe how that was rigged! LOL

Unplug the voltage rectifier before installing new fuse?
