After I let a friend borrow the wheeler I brought it into the garage and parks it. Opened the door a few hrs later to let the dog out and noticed the gas smell in the air. I can find no visible gas leak on the machine or floor under the wheeler. I can smell it most on the kick start side of the engine but can't find a leak. Any ideas?

Good idea, thanks. I'm gonna take it out the garage tomorrow after work turn of the gas and let the run out of gas, might as well take the airbox cover off while I'm at it. I'll let ya know what I find. One of his kids was messing with it when he returned it so I'm betting there's some extra fuel just chillin' from playing with the throttle.

if the float got stuck..the gas will run back into the air box..filling not only that up..but also your lower part of your engine..if you got gas in your air box..more than likely there is gas in your lower end..you need to drain your oil and see if there is gas in it ??..do not run your bike with it this way !

Oil checked, clean. Opened the airbox and could smell gas but could not find any, however the air filter smells like gas. I'm guessing that it shouldn't, but I don't know.
nope..it's not..more than likely..your float shut off the gas before you lost all your gas from the tank..always..ALWAYS TURN YOUR GAS OFF WHEN YOUR DONE RIDDING.. this will save you a headache in the long run. just remember to turn it back on ( yeah..done this a few times )..lmfao.
