I have an 04 rancher ES, my problem is that I can't get fuel to come from the gas tank. With gas in the tank, I can't get fuel from the gas tank to the fuel filter. It'll turn and turn and turn but it'll never prime fuel into the filter. I've taken the hose off and got it drain through maybe once, but barely, and I've done can common methods of blowing through the hose and shaking the tank around and various things. Just don't see why even when I take the hose loose from the filter that it won't even just freely flow. Gas valve is turned on and everything about the ATV seems to work as it should.

Is the fuel tank vent clogged. Take the gas cap off and see if that helps.
I'm sure someone with knowledge of that bike will chime in shortly

pull the fuel line off the petcock at the tank, turn the petcock on, fuel come out then ?. if not ?, then petcock is clogged ?, or the tank is not venting ?.

you could disconnect the line at the carb, an see if you have a good flow of gas. i think Shade is on the right path. i give you an easy start point, to work your way back to the tank. you got to figure out why the gas is not working. bad petcock, or even the filter in the tank, should it have one.
