Ok, I am stumped. I put a new carb, fuel line, petcock and gas tank on my 99 Fourtrax300 4x4. I have it starting and idling great, but when I give it gas it sputters and I get some white smoke. I've tried adjusting the fuel air mixture up and down with no good results. I've also taken the carb out and cleaned it then reinstalled it. Any suggestions?

First question and most important question... Is the new carb OEM or a cheap China carb from ebay or amazon?

Unfortunately you wasted your money, regardless of reviews these carbs never run great, not trying to be rude, just being brutally honest with you.

Best advice is to order an OEM or known good brand carb rebuild kit and rebuild your OEM carb.

Unfortunately not, you can modify 300ex carbs to fit but it’s not worth the hassle if I’m honest. Your best bet is to look on PSN - power sports nation.com for a used OEM carb. Clean it and rebuild it and your good to go. Just remember to use OEM carb parts for the rebuild or Shindy I believe are quite good too.

There are several used OEM carbs for your model on fleabay; best if you reviewed the manual and parts diagrams for the exact part number.
For instance my 93 uses a VE90E. Parts diagrams list VE91D A for yours. Always verify the part number from the sellers as some do not know the importance of the TRX300 model differences.
You can download the manual and access some popular parts suppliers at the links in my sig block.
Only only buy Honda OEM parts; not OEM equivalents not OEM spec.
