This is on top of a mountain in the middle of a forest pretty much in the middle of nowhere there is a sand desert with large rocks that have been water eroded but you have to understand that this is in the middle of a very lush green forest and it's about the size of a football field. very odd placement. I'll also include a picture of the rest of the mountain so you see how odd the placement of this desert is.

Na. Not happening.

Almost never get out of 2nd gear, which in the 300 is actually first. If i only rode atvs i may consider it, but i ride street bikes, dirt bikes, 2wd and 4wd atvs, pit bikes, scooters, and everything else with an engine. Pretty much have one of everything..... the atv at a top speed of ten in the woods is "manageable". Infact its so slow i sometimes get off and walk beside it in second gear over certain terrain. I wish i had somewhere i could open it up, but it's just too rough around here to do anything other than creep along.

well hate tyo bust your bubble, but past 7 mph, your arms cannot STOP you in an impact, they will fold up and well, gravity tends to drive heads into the ground?

so, doesn't matter if if only goes 10 mph
, or the fact a 400-600 lb atv landing on you at 10 mph and well, ??
I have seen a few deaths on atv's going rather slow
my good friend broke his back going about 5 mph when it flipped and landed on him
(helmet didn't helped him on the back, but did save his face from damages when the bars hit him in the head! )
hey like I said, I am not preaching, your life, do as you please, your right IMO!

just know the facts, slow doesn;t mean you won't get hurt!
and I have owned most toys as well, and raced many for a lot of yrs, also broke a LOT of bones and didnt't walk for a few months and almost never again.
so, I know first hand what a helmet can save in a simple accident to a major one!

I gotta agree with @mrbb here.

I was in the woods on first gear when all the leaves were down, it was getting dark and as I was turning the front right wheel dipped. The bike flipped and landed on me, I didn't have a helmet. Luckily I didn't get hurt, but I can only imagine if I had landed 2 feet further on a rock.

Since then, I wear a helmet and I never get out of 2nd either. I haul wood and have my helmet. That and we get a nasty fine in Quebec if we get stopped by the cops without a helmet!

Cool spot though!

Again, NO. If you can't manage an atv at 10 mph you don't need it. Mistakes don't "happen", you cause them.
I guess you never heard of a mechanical failure then?
and I also guess you don't understand the meaning of the word ACCIDENT
what happens if your driving at 10 mph and a gear locks up, and your on a side hill or climbing tricky situation
or if you get something in your eye from a BUG to a??

or how about that idiot that comes flying around a blind turn going 50 in your path?

I have seen a lot fo collisions that were NO fault of the driver
HECK>< if you drive a street bike I am sure you already know, , its the other folks on the road you end up watching out for more than you!

I am NOT preaching here, , just stating facts,
if you go about thinking an accident will never happen, SO be it
but don't think it has anything to do with skills
an accident is just that, an accident
and safety gear is just that safety gear
wear it DON"T wear it
again, YOUR CALL
just don't be ignorant of the facts they happen and can happen to anyone!

I too agree with @mrbb and @machinecrook, 10 mph might be slow, but it does happen I've been mashed so many times over the years i don't care to recall them, but I'm reminded each morning when i wake up and shake out the rust from my bones, simple as slow turning in a well known path going frog gigging one night in short is left front tire dipped in a wash out , bike tipped , and it was me plastered to a pipe gate (no helmet) head ache for days , and nice big knot, we don't like to see any of our friends hurt.

That's my Vulcan 750 :) Also have a KZ750. One of everything really, all of which go a lot faster than my granny creeper tank.

pretty cool " oasis " ? ! ? --- do you'll have a name for patches of trees in the middle of dessert , must be a under ground water source or something ----seems that would be a good spot to do some metal detecting or digging, must have been that way for a long time
