[Huntersprings]

A couple weeks ago, my 2007 TRX500FE got stuck in 3rd with the display flashing on and off. I powered it off and back on and it shifted fine for a short while but it happened again. After reading post here, I replaced the battery since I've had to jump it off a couple times lately. I have ridden it around the farm while doing chores but have taken it pretty easy on it. It hasn't hung up in a gear yet but it cranked while in 3rd gear. No hand clutch on this bike and before this it never would even turn over while in gear. Any recommendations that I could consider would be appreciated.

I'd say the neutral sensor is shot or the wire has a break and is grounding (earthing) to the frame somewhere.
